Confusing Words > quite or quiet
Does "bored" mean the same as "boring"? What's the difference between "funny" and "fun"? Here are some commonly confused English word pairs.

QUITE OR QUIET
QUIET => making very little or no noise

Examples:

Keep quiet!

It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

QUITE => fairly, almost, rather, completely

Examples:

It is not quite correct.
