Confusing Words > back and backside
Does "bored" mean the same as "boring"? What's the difference between "funny" and "fun"? Here are some commonly confused English word pairs.

BACK AND BACKSIDE
BACKSIDE = the part of the body that you sit on

get off your backside => to stop being lazy

Examples:

Get off your backside and do some work!

After cycling for the whole day, his backside was very sore.

BACK = the reverse side, the part opposite to or behind that adapted for view or use

Examples:
